Just wondering if anyone has imported speakers, amps and/or head units in from the USA seeing as the USD/AUD exchange is so good.

I'm aware that there is the warranty issue where the gear will have to be sent back to the US if it is faulty but I am more interested in knowing if the USA have slightly different frequencies for radio etc.

cheers in advance.

Yeah as far as I am aware US freq's are different, all the other gear will work though.

The difference in the US is the AM tuning step. 9Mhz vs 10Mhz iirc.
But this is a selectable option in most head units anyway.

Japan has different frequencies and you'd need to buy a frequency converter.
