Just wondering if anyone has imported speakers, amps and/or head units in from the USA seeing as the USD/AUD exchange is so good.
I'm aware that there is the warranty issue where the gear will have to be sent back to the US if it is faulty but I am more interested in knowing if the USA have slightly different frequencies for radio etc. cheers in advance. Ben |

Yeah as far as I am aware US freq's are different, all the other gear will work though.

The difference in the US is the AM tuning step. 9Mhz vs 10Mhz iirc.
But this is a selectable option in most head units anyway. Japan has different frequencies and you'd need to buy a frequency converter. |

i just got some gear from the states off ebay paid about $550 oz all up for type r alpine splits, polk audio 6.5" 2ways, 1 farad cap rockfosgate and a 4ga 4ch amp kit didnt have to pay anything on tax
which was awsome and pretty sure i saved some $$$ from buying over seas
