Help please my daughter has just bought a ba not knowing the doors lock then unlock again we have just replaced the rear door catch as it would not shut properly but that hasnt helped have had it to mechanics but they dont know what the problem is neither does the auto elec dont know what else to do

Have they checked none of the drive gears are snapped in the actuators,(e.g. physicaly pulled them apart ad checked.) extremely common problem, and I know you took it to an auto leccy, but f**k me dead, our experiences , left us not holding them in very high regard to say the slightest

best way is to disconnect each door mech loom one at a time.... and hit the button... if it cycles again you havent found the right one. Keep doing that till it locks and stays locked...
You will find the culprit that way..... Its time comsuming but at least you only have to remove the front trims as the plug for the rear doors is easy enough to get too (on lower centre piller)

Seeing as the Drivers door lock and actuator is the controlling one, it may be that?
You may also have a problem with either a fuse or relay? |
