Just cause this topic was brought up,
What snorkels will fit an EL, was told au xr8 snorkel but the guy from ford told me there was 2 (one of which had a higher stock kw). Also saw it needs a bit of a modification to sit snugly, any comments on this. Thanks for your help fellas. |

Have seen pics of an AU XR8 snorkel in an EF/EL. From memory, it had the sides of the mounting tab slightly trimmed (maybe 2cm square) to fit the EF/EL rad support. Didn't look like a major.

This is the same CFM as the V8 Tickford one sans the wings. Ford superceeded the tickford one to the XRT BA about 8 years ago. |

The BA 9A624 snorkel Papa Smurf mentioned just bolts straight in - literally a 2-minute job - and it's much bigger (see fordmods-technical-documents-diy-f38/convert-au-to-low-restriction-ba-induction-tube-part-1-t100117.html).

Just read through that write up, it's extremely handy... Definitely think this will be my next modification. Very much liking the idea of keeping it vaguely factory, and neat... Thanks...
