Hey guys just a quick question im doing a minor service for my missus' friend's laser and i flushed the oil no probs but the coolant i culdnt flush as i wasnt 100% sure on the way to go about it. i own an EL and i simply take the top radiator hose off and run water thru the system about 3 times to flush everything out, however with the laser i took the top radiator hose off and only a tiny bit of coolant came out which lead me to the assumption that the water pump (bottom radiator hose) would have to be removed to flush?

The car is a 1997 KJ laser liata lxi, and underneath the engine is a plastic cover that covers majority of the area underneath the car, does anyone know the best way to flush coolant for this car?

Thanks for any replies guys,

Nath

Thanks for the reply, is the drain plug on the radiator itself??

And does it need to be removed or reinstalled in any specific way?

Thanks krytox

Just had a look.

There's a tap on the drivers side of the LOWER pipe.

you only need a few turns and it'll slowly come out, i recall that it has a internal catch so it cant fall out and be lost, like a whipper snipper tank cap.

no tricks, its just a tap like on a 4litre water bottle. except the spout rotates.

yep, and they also wrap around the inner wheel arches.

the lower ones easy to remove. and theres a really nice jacking point on the front left.

hey krytox ive just had the chance to get under the car 2nite, and i couldnt find the plug to flush the coolant. it was pretty dark and i didnt have proper lighting. But just to double check, is it on the radiator itself or a hose running out of the bottom of the radiator? Is it on the drivers side or passenger side? and also if its not too much hassel would you be able to put up some pics to help me out?

Thanks mate
