Hey all,

I've got a '06 BF FPV Super Pursuit and whilst driving home from work today the ETC light illuminated on the dash. The engine lost power, RPM fluctuated and I lost most but not all response when I attempted to accelerate, the engine sounded like it was hunting. I pulled over and switched it off and then started it again which seemed to clear the problem but I am concerned that it may return.

Anyone had similar problems or any ideas of what could be causing this??

ETC - Electronic Throttle Control if i recall correctly. Welcome to late model cars.

will most likely be a problem with the tps (throttle position switch) or maybe the accelerator position sensor. but most likely tps. u could throw another 1 on and try ur luck, or have it checked and diagnosed at ford.

iv got the same problem but VERY BAD every time i changed from p to D to R ect the same problem hapans and i have to turn car off and do all that crap.

new throtle body time guys can get reco ones thro bursons or repco
