My EL Ghia driver's seat ( the base cushion we sit on ) has got a decent split in the leather and I am thinking of swapping the base cushion over with the one from the passenger's side seat, which is in excellent condition. I don't mean swapping the whole seat, just the base cushions.
Are the base cushions interchangeable?

You can either swap cover and cushion, or the whole seatpan.

Good news for me then.
T50 torx from memory I think and then figure out how the cushion is attached to the seat... excellent.

Incidentally, I have been looking for another whole driver's seat in cappucino leather to replace the original seat ( pictured ) but have gone through three wrecker yards and nothing available atm. Reason for this is I think I have a knackered seat rail as well as it makes a banging noise when taking off from and stopping at the traffic lights.
It would appear these seats are hard to come by. :?

Have just sent a PM inquiring whether that's velour or leather.

Anyhow, have started to organsie a bloke to weld broken bits on the driver's seat when he has time next week. Then I'll swap out the seat bases.

They're definitely velour going by the photo.
Full velour wasnt even an option for EL Ghias.
At best you could de-option down to the half/half leather/velour.
