I want to put on my pacemaker 4499's and the high flow cat from my EB onto my EL, but is it as simple as unbolting them and swapping them around the 2 cars? Both have 2.5" redback exhausts, and my EL has stock extractors and cat. The part between the extractors and the exhaust (the cat) has been modified though, looks like the pipe's a bit longer than the stock cat?

think there is the diffrence with the fire wall and how far the motor sits to the front of the two as to when they changed body shape.

Well I've taken off the paceys and high flow cat off my EB and going to get them fitted on Monday. They would bolt straight on if they were the same size piping... I don't really understand though why they wouldn't fit straight on if they're the exact same exhaust systems and the cat's already been modified to fit on them, I thought they were all the same from EA to AU. I'm just a little confused but at least i'll have the paceys and that on my car soon, just gotta worry about the EB now.

EB, EL - same same assuming they've had the same systems installed.

They didn't look like they would line up though. Held the extractors and cat against the car in line with the stock extractors and they bolted up to the exhaust at different spots (not far though), and they're both 2.5" redback exhausts. :/

Only then will you know if it actually fits. Eye balling it won't work...

I have done this before, everything will fit.
Just some advice make sure you get the 2.5in exhaust inlet-cat exit-cat entry bolted up tight with gaskets all with that red exhaust sealant first. Before you tighten up the extractors onto the head. Makesure you with the extractors you tighten up from the inner bolts first and work your way out.. cheers...
