my brakes lights have suddenly both stopped working all together, i have checked the fuse and they all look good. i havent checked globes but i had a talk to my old man and he said it is probably the brake switch, how do i go about changing this and where can i get a new one from?

Probably the brake switch, however try to unplug the brake switch and see if the Cruise Control light comes up when you turn it on. If it doesn't turn on AFTER you unplugged the brake switch, pull the Accy Relay out and plug it back in and check lights. If the Cruise light does light up, it's probably the switch (unless all 3 light globes blew at once...highly unlikely).
Switch is located on the brake pedal stem...pretty easy fix but can be a pain in the a*** for some. Just got to remove old (remember how the bushes go in) and put in a new. New can be had from local auto store (Repco/Bursons better choices than Supercrap).
