hi all,
im new to this forum & to ECU tampering so forgive me if i sound silly. i've been looking at flashing my ECU to increase performance, or using another chip to 'fool' the ECU into getting a similar result. i've seen a lot of different 'chips' and read through each one thoroughly, and the most convincing so far is the 'volo VP12 performance chip' how do these REALLY compare to other similar products on the market? now i know that some people are FOR these and some are AGAINST these, so please only reply if you have had any personal experience with these, or actually know someone who has had one. p.s. my car is a 2004 ford falcon ba xr6 manual n/a |

Forget about chips. Go direct to a searching for a flash tuning. SCT is your answer.

You know its good when the instructions tell you to scotch lock your connections.
I'd bet that that joint wouldnt have a falcon tune on file despite what their website says. Not that their chip would do any tuning. Your options are limited to a flash tune with an SCT flash tuner or a sniper tune. Or put an aftermarket computer in but that will cost more and not do as an effective job. |

flash tune is what you would be looking for mate, any chips that are for the ba or later is s**t as far as i know, because you can just alter the original computer, id say its not a chip just a handfull of resistors telling the car to run richer or fooling it into thinking all kinds of stupid things, this can cause other problems and you wont gain much if any power from it
