Now it's getting warmer my Fairmonts locks are doing the cycling thing again. I'm thinking about replacing them with Jaycar ones, but I don't like the way http://www.fordmods.com/documents.php?d=74 cuts out most of the wires. It seems to only use the lock/unlock wires, ignoring the additional/lock sense(?) wires. This means you could "lock" your car when the doors aren't closed.

If possible I'd like to do it a different way. Instead of chopping into the BEM I'd like to use a bunch of four wire actuators from Jaycar (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=LR8816) and rewire them to use the standard door lock wires.

Thing is I need to know what the additional door wires actually do. I assume that the two main wires are actuator wires that reverse polarity for lock/unlock (like window motor wires), but can anyone explain the function of the additional master/slave wires, and their states/etc?
