Hi, need really urgent help - ED falcon that has just come out of a workshop but radio instead of saying code, says a bunch of numbers and there's no response - like none of the radio buttons work at all... tried pulling the fuse but no joy at all...

Anyone know the answer???

if u enter the wront code too many times it cesases to work iirc

if you enter the wrong code 3 times it comes up with err

bugger! is there anything at all you can do to reset them?

you have to just leace the ignition on until the err turns to code

OK....but its not showing an ERR type message - its just numbers - something like 21123 - it plays some obscure half tuned station but none of the buttons work...

go to ford with the VIN number of ya car and they can tell ya

Long story but my radio did the exact same thing after disconnecting the battery. took it to Ford in Mentone who told me it was locked and to get a new stereo, so I did. Whilst installing the new stereo I just happened to wonder what would happen if I removed the fuse on the back and the plug and then plugged it all back in again

Would you believe it came back with "code" took the code and is now working. Ford were surprised when I told them (not apologetic, just surprised.... ) but for the removal of four screws I would give it a go before I buy a new stereo, if it doesn't work you have to take it out anyway. PS Just take the tamper proof screws out with vise grips or multi grips, Ford anti-theft at it's dismal best.

My only question is "Does anyone want to buy a brand new car stereo?"
