Check the wiring at the actual Cruise Control unit in the engine bay, wire might be loose or unit is stuffed. Also check the cable connected to the throttle body is on properly. If all those pass, button might be stuffed. Tried pushing the negative button?

Yes I pressed the negative button . The plug being loose for the module was the cause of it not working before .
I have a spare module so I'll swap that over.
