Hey fella's my mates dad has a NF lane but it has some sort of MAP sensor issue, it starts with the map sensor off and idles ......but quick revs the motor will konk out. The motor won't kick over with the MAP sensor plugged in at all ..........if anyone has heard of this issue please help , the car has been off the road for 2 months now, we've tried new sensor map sensors and a new computer but to no avail.

map sensor is the manifold absolute pressure sensor and the vac line goes into the inlet mainfold (its easy to follow) make sure its connected to the manifold properly
another problem could be the idle solenoid (on top of the throttle body with 2 10mm bolts holding it) could be stuck and filled with carbon (run carby cleaner and a rag through it a few times) make sure the base idle is correct as well (disconnect the idle solenoids plug and let the car get to operating temp then make sure its idling at 800rpm)

all the vac lines are good
i'll give the idle solenoid a clean and check the base idle and see how it goes |

another issue if that fails could be the TPS (throttle position sensor) its on the throttle body with 2 phillips screws on it on there just unplug it and remove it runs some WD40 in it and use a flat head to move it while applying wd40
another possible issue could be the BEM (body electronics module) found inside the car on the drivers side just under the steering wheel on the left if you thumb that place with your knee does the car start ? info on the BEM can be found here documents.php?d=26 the problem with the BEM is caused by dry solder joints its a common one but idk how unplugging the map sensor could relate to it

ill try to spray wd on the tps sensor to see if its the problem.........
i havent checked the BEM yet but i'll get around too it Car still starts with the MAP sensor air line diconnected but idles at 1200rpm but is pretty much undrivable, sounds like a backfire through the intake when you want to give it a generous boot |
