Guys.

Im wanting the EF Diff in an EB. Question is - does/has anyone have solutions for the handbrake.

Im NOT interested in : Change of Calipers/Backing Plates etc
or : Install EF Handbrake Lever

I am interested in if anyone has connected the ef handbrake to the EB front handle succesfully

Nigel

OK.

The EB has a cable running down both sides of the car.

Each cable runs through some chassis guides to help keep it in place.

Take the passenger side cable and where the cable passes through one of the guides place a marine type cable clamp, effectively locking the passenger cable against the chassis. Now you can cut off the remainder of the passenger cable and remove it from the car.

On the drivers side, which is the same side as the cable from the EF/EL diff, clamp the EF cable to the EB drivers side cable.

Check for adjustment, and use the clamps for that along with the std EB adjustment too.

Paulmac and I had this working quite well on an EB with an EF XR6 diff.

I hope that helps.

Cheers
BenJ

I am not sure on the XH handbrake setup, but it will depend on which diff they use from factory.

Crawl under the ute and try and work it out.

Cheers

XH is the same as EB/D - same calipers everything.

You should be able to work the same answer out.

Now all I need is someone to rebuild my 3.45....
