Hi Fellas,
I have an eb 5litre windsor that has blown a headgasket, so in place of that im getting a Au 200KW engine put in. The car is on gas (duel fuel) but considering the difference in engines I wanted to know what setup you guys would recommend to get with minimal power loss. Currently it has an impco 225 mixer and my budget is around $700 Can anyone help as i didnt find much info on the forum Ray |

U can get the bigger 300A mixer but not sure what cfm difference there is between your's and 300A...
You could go GRA route but will cost u abit more but not much power loss or the BLOS mixer but not sure if its compatible with impco gear... Leave your setup as is for now and do your research on both parts used and installer/tuner...

------Model--------- Rated Horsepower-----Cubic Feet Minute----------Liters Minute
-------225---------------- -205 ----------------329 ---------------------19.740 ----300A-1/20-------------217---------------- 348--------------------- 20,880 ----300A-50/70------------270---------------- 432--------------------- 25,920 ------425-------------------287---------------- 460--------------------- 27,600 You would need to use a 300A 50/70 to get any real flow increase. But fitting one would be PITA. We use the 50/70 on 4.2L 6cyl engines that only rev to 4500rpm (Nissan TB42) A 425 would be easier to fit then a 300A |

On Ebay at the moment is 8cyl LPGi kits. Install one, and if it cant flow enough for full throttle simply configure it to switch back to fuel at high RPM. Shouldnt need to though
They are $770. Sell your existing front end kit for $100 and your under the $700 budget http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190579246771 ... 1423.l2649 nigel |
