Just curiosity, does anyone know what, for example a 6' 3 way speaker is?
As opposed to say a 2way? As i have a BA Mk2 XR6 and was wondering if buying a new speaker system would be anygood. And i don't know what is meant by 2 way, or 3 way and so on. Cheers |

2 way vs 3 way is talking about the amount of tweeters in built
a 2 way has the normal speaker cone and a tweeter built on top 3 way has normal speaker cone and 2 tweeters on top general rule of thumb is 2way at the back and 2 way at front(budget) or if you have the extra money a component speakers were the tweeters are not built into the speaker and are a separate unit 3 ways are a waste of money and are generally crap

So in saying that, is there any real benefits to swapping to aftermarket ones?

if you upgrade to aftermarkets you will notice a touch more noise but you wont really benfit till you amp the aftermarket speakers or atleast a aftermakret headunit but even then almost all aftermarket speakers still need amping to get there true benefit
