I've noticed that my brake lights are often on, when I start the car they always seem to come on, even though the peddal isn't being pressed, and sometimes when I press the pedal and then release it they will stay on for a while, or until next time the epdal is pressed and released.
I'd be guess it's just a faulty sensor/switch thing on the pedal? Are they hard to replace? Do they use the same ones right throughout the E-Series?

Haha, yep your switch is on its way out!
Just goto repco/autbarn or your equiv. in tassy and get one, <20bucks, 10min to install as the pin (u will know what i mean when u see it) is a b**ch to get back in most of the time!
Its a job you can do by yourself none the less.

Enjoy.
