Hi fellas,

since i have my evap system all fixed the head decides to go. fair enough at around 180,000kms.

took the head off and found that it was replaced withing the last 500-1000kms ago. the previous owners stupid mechanic had put some sort of glue on top of the gasket before putting the head back on, causing it to blow again, also found when it was put together the intake manifold was all loose so loosing fuel, the exhaust gasket was f**ked and so on.

So what im in the process of rebuilding the top half and wanted some advice on a few things:

would i get any better compressoin if i used an EB head with the EL camshaft and rocker assembaly.

or putting the eb camshaft im the el head woud that make any tourque or power changes

if anyone has any thoughts or ideas on this subject please let me know ill have the head off till next week so depending what what info i get will depend on what ill do i guess

thanks guys

if ur going to use an EB head with your EL cam, make sure your EL head is not a hybrid (AU head) as im pretty sure they wont fit.

use the EL head with a genuine AU headgasket. The AU gasket is thinner which will raise the compression,
