I have an AUII XR6 ute and was wondering if anyone (any model) has tried a modified CAI similar to the new WRX's...
basically i want to see if i can put a custom scoop on the bonnet and try to duct it straight to the panel filter then straight to the manifold... hmmm... just curious...

you do realize the wrx has a top mount intercooler and that scoop only channels air to the intercooler, not the intake.
and like covered in that other thread it only looks alrightish if its molded to the bonnet, other wise it just looks like a stuck on part from supercrap auto
on the side not the scoop would only really be a good mod (performance wise) if piped incorrectly from scoop to TB. and good luck preventing hydro-lock when a good downpour is happening
