im sure ive seen this mod, not sure if it was the gear knob or the whole shifter but can this be done transfer the t5 shifter in the ba to the el t5 box, and is there any benefit,(little bit shorter throw/better shaped gear stick etc)

yep bolt straight up and there's no different's. ba shift is like the ea-d shift

so i should just get an aftermarket short throw shifter and a ba gear knob lol, thanks

BA turbo 5 speed, has a short throw shifter the one with the Gold Base
the black base shifters are standard throw.
