Hi Guys,

I am planning on converting my BA XT (Running straight factory gas) to turbo in the near furture. I just wanted to know how good the factory turbo manifolds were?
I will rebuild my engine later down the track also and dont plan on pushing past 400rwk.

Would it be ok for this sort of power? or am I better off going aftermarket?

Also what are the factory turbo's like? are they good for 400rwk?

Thanks in advance

Factory manifold will make 400kw.. FG is apparently better than BA/BF.

The standard BA/BF/F6 turbo will make around that.. FG XR6T turbo's are only good for about 330rwkw.

Have a look around... so much info on these everywhere.

First things first. The gas system would run out of puff at around half of that power level (possibly evel less than half).

Do you even know what 400kW feels like in a street car or is it just a magic number of masturbation pulled out of thin air?

I'm about as blunt as the back end of a spoon. Looking at his rides he has owned a few turbo cars so I guess I may have spoken too soon. My comment about the gas system capability still stands. A 38mm hole will never flow enough air to make that sort of power no matter how much preassure is behind it. Even in stock NA trim. Dual fuel and straight gas falcons are up to 30kw down on their petrol only contemporaries. I am talking cars with mixer ring setups here. All you gra mixer and injected lpg boys stay out of this one ok lol

Give this man a medal :P But yeah, seriously why do people keep asking the same f**k questions?? I can understand if you've searched around, and you want more clarification on a subject.

Why hijack a thread for? The OP gapped it ages ago. Was waiting for his reply to the topic but never got it.
