Hi guys,
I'm new here and I'm not too sure if my situation is supposed to be here, so could the moderators please move this to the correct place if need be. I like my bass and I have 2 amps and neither of them work as of yet. What I have done is: HEAD UNIT I have connected the remote wire from the back of my head unit via twisting and taping them together and have plugged in RCA's to their correct spots on the unit. POWER I have run the power wire from the battery with an inline fuse (intact) through to my boot and have fixed that into the B+ port on the amp. REMOTE I have fixed the remote wire to the REM/ACC port on the amp. GROUND I have sanded down a section in my boot (bare metal now) and have fixed an O-ring connected ground wire to that and connected the other end to GND on the amp. Problem for both is that none of them power on? Could someone help me please, much appreciated! THANKS |

should be working then..
check you have 12v at the amp end of your power cable,if you havent check your said power cable fuse and battery connection. check you have the right wire for the remote and not the power antenna or somthing(usually blue ),check you have 12v on the remote wire (amp end)when head unit is turned on . check amp fuses? twisting wires wll work but aint the best way ! get a cheap soldering iron and solder then tape all twist joins . just to test that your remote is the culprit you can bridge the 12v+ with the remote temporarily and amp should fire up hope it helps Mystro |

Thanks mate, I'll check out all the wires tomorrow!
I'm a little confused as to what you mean by bridging the 12v and remote wire together, could you please explain this if you have the time? Cheers |
