Hi guys heres a question, I looking to replace the body looms in my SX tezza and I got a good price on one..

The only thing is I think it's comming from an SY, the part numbers start off with 5R79 and when I had my dash out I remember the parts starting with 3R73, but mine is a base TX and I thought the Ghia SX parts started off with 3R79? will there be much difference in the looms? Anyone got a good idea if it will work?

The door looms I have a were out of a SY and started off with the prefix 5R?? and they work, I'm just a bit weary because of the ZF 6spd.

p.s. I should put the full part numbers in they are:
5R79 - 14A005 - A
5R79 - 14A005 - AB

I beleve it will work and not work at the same time. It's just like converting a BA to full BF wiring pretty much, it's not gonna just plug in and work immediatley, and you will probably need to swap ALL the looms from the whole car, I think you'll need to swap the ICC, the BCM, the ECU, and any other modules that changed between the SY and SX, not sure what the tranny is gonna do eithier, which trans do you have, and which trans did the car the looms came out have? What's your reasoning for needing to change the wiring looms? Sorry I cant give any more definate awnsers, but I hope this helps a bit.

Well I did a DZ A/C Conversion and fitted Auto lights, and am using a BF GTP ICC, I'm using the High Series BCM (Yellow for Terries).

The reasoning behind it is I've replaced the whole interior with one out TS and have door trims with lights and window switches with backlights but no wiring for it(I have already replaced all the door looms) and yes it's alot of hassle for some lights but in the future looking to replace the drivers seat with one that has memory seating as I'm 6'1 and the missus is lucky to 5' and I'll need the loom then.

I can't see the car the loom is comming from as I'm in WA and the car is Melb. I did ask for them to make sure it was a SX and the assured me it was, but before I bought it I asked for photos of the part numbers and it tend to make me think it was from an SY.

I will be looking for more info from them in reguarding transmission and the likes.

MY SX is a 4sp AWD, but the SY I, has the ZF 6spd and the AWD and the 4spd in the RWD version.

I cant really help too much more, as my wiring knowledge pretty much stops with EL, lol, but what I do know is, if you want to run a 6 speed ZF in a BA, all the looms from the entire car need changing, and I'd imagine territory is the same, as to how this relates to what you are trying to acheive, I dont know, I assume the 6 speed loom wont run the 4 speed also. I'm not really sure beyond that. Someone else maybe able to shed some light (bollocks?)
