So i replace the high pressure hose on my girlfriends EL the other day and soon as i started and gave it a rev a noise started coming from what sounds like the power steering pump.. Since i replaced the hose could it cause some sort of noise..
I inspected the fanbelt to see if anything was rubbing on it but there isnt.. any ideas? Ps i wanna get this fixed before the girlfriend comes home so please let me know asap. |

The fluid will be airated. just keep topping it up and letting the air settle out of it.
At worst you'll have damaged the pump. |

yeah her father drove it 20m or so without the pipe connected so that may have done some damage.

If the power steering pump has been run dry before, pump might be damaged.
