I spotted this kit on evil bay and thought you all might like to have a look.
Do you think by moving the calipers out onto that bracket supplied would be a issue come rego time ?
I mean it looks strong enough, but what if any implications with the law might arise?

Thanks

i rekon that bracket looks a bit flimsy. considering the brakeing strain you may put on your car...

Instead of using the dogleg adaptors, just get some C2 callipers, these are standard fitment on stuff like Group A VS dunnydoors and Series 1 T series, they are a direct bolt on to the series 2 and 3 upright.

No dog leg adaptors required. what caliper do you intend on running?

Be aware that if the brakes you are fitting are not from the same type of vehicle you will need an engineer certified brake test. If you have an AU2 or better, i would look at the T series stuff.

The brake test involves repeated stops from 120kph, and as such can only be conducted at certain venues here in NSW. The test also costs $1100. So as much as the kit looks cheap, factor in the cost for the test, plus the engineers fee, and a set of T3 4spot Brembos look cheap all of a sudden.

Food for thought.

I have been running this Kit on my BA XR* ute for about 8 months, the Brackets are about 12mm thick and stronger than the original caliper mount. the thickness of the dogbone bracket makes up for the different tophat height. the caliper will sit further out than standard by this 12mm. the rotors are rear rotors from fpv. will also sit under a standard XR8 17" rim (Just) which is what im running, i also got a set of slotted rears to match, and ADR approved braided lines. Im very pleased with the upgrade, i didnt want to go to 18" rims because i wanted the load carrying capacity from the higher profile tyres. there is absolutely no problem with this kit, the guy runs a mechanical business in Melbourne and i bought directly from him.
