Apologies in advance for re-hashing a topic that seems to have thrown around regularly throughout the forums, but i really am struggling to find a somewhat clear cut answer.
Basically looking for the best possible set up for a Premium sound 05' BA that still has use of ICC, and only does cosmetic damage to the boot. Basically the ideal setup would be a 12" sub w/Monoblock , in leiu of the Factory 8" and perhaps a way in which to run a 4ch. amp for the 4 existing premium sound speakers. Is this possible? how could it be achieved? and if not, what are my alternatives for the best set up with the least cosmetic damage. Many Thanks! |

yea i hear that you can fit 6X9 in the back but not sure if you need a bracket or not, Ive even heard you can put 6.5 in the front thats what the audio guy said at one of the shops a couple of days ago. But not sure if different brands are different sizes. They said with Polk Audio db you could. Round component in the front and oval shape in the back thats what they recommended me doing. I just havent dont it yet money issue hard to find a system within $1700 lol!

i recently had my premium sound upgraded and it sounds awesome, i got a soundstream 8inch sub with a option audio 600rms monblock, it all fits into the parcel shelf and the side of the boot and you retain all your boot space.
Good option IMO |

Good option IMO If replacing the original sub in the parcel shelf you should ideally be looking for a free air type subwoofer or somehow build a box for it. As I have recommended before, i would go with a signal processor (JL audio Cleansweep), and run the factory speakers off an amp with possibly an aftermarket sub. If you you have very little experience ask a car audio shop to install it for you. If you want to do it yourself be prepared for a fair bit of work but there is plenty of help and advice around... If this fails shoot me a PM and ill see if i can help you out. |

Running a JL Audio Cleansweep, Morel Dotech Ovation 6's in the front, running of RF 1000.2 amp and 2x12" RF HX12 subs in the rear running off RF T20001BD Mono. Was lots of work running wiring etc, but its been worth it, or atleast will be once I finally get all the interference noises sorted out!
