Does anyone know the max size speaker you can fit in the 2 front doors? And has anyone tried to fit speakers into the 2 back doors?

Is there anyway that I'd be able to fit in 6.5"?

6.5s will fit, you will either need an adapter, or get some MDF and make one up yourself!

Thanks guys, what 6" - 6.5" speakers do you recommend? I'm looking for ones that'll be pretty loud and not sound to s**t. I had a set of clarion 6" in the front before and they went pretty loud with 2 310watt JVC's in the rear. What do yous recommend for better than both of them and I'll get what ever amp is needed for them to run at there best.

why do people think that 6'' speakers are better ? and 6.5" are better again ? They aren't subs, they will never flood you're cab with bass, & if they did you wouldn't hear the music through the door rattle. There's some awesome 5x7's on the market now since most cars use that size from factory.

Not saying you can build a cheap competition stereo but you get my point.... it's quality not size.

My biggest pet hate is homos that think 7x10's are the schitt.

A properly setup stereo doesn't need ten million watts rms or the biggest speakers you can find. It just needs someone who knows what they're doing, if a stereo doesn't work in perfect harmony it will never sound good.

You would be surprised of the level of sound that can be obtained from just changing speakers and adding an amp into the b series. They have high wattage head units. Next step after quality speakers would be head unit as for SQ and tun-ability it doesn't cut it.

Im not sure how these would go, but they look interesting.
They are 5 x 7 to 6 x 9 adapters for your speakers.
It says ute,
but I cant see how different it would be.

Well what size 5x7 do you recommend then? My car came with and after market stereo with 6x9's in the back and 6"s in the front. I was just looking at upgrading the speakers and amp to get a better and louder sound.

just louder or sound better ?

More bass or just more loud ?

More up front or more blend or more definition ?

If you're car has the tweeters standard I would say focus more on bringing the bass. The standard premium setup has a lot of mid-high range power. Perhaps a 12" running off a good amp split from the rears with a hi-lo converter.

If that's not loud enough I'd upgrade the speakers as planned with standard sizes (what-ever fits if they've already been changed) and install tweets if not already present. Not necessary but I find it helps spread the sound better. Then amp.

Then head unit.

Then focus on acoustics.
