Hey,

Yeah well im going to say i let my mum borrow my car and she hit the gutter...cough cough. I have been to a few wheel repair places and they just seem to fill em with bog and then paint them. Has anyone out there had this done and are you happy with the finish? Im concerned that if i get it done theyll look good then in a few month ill get flakey wheels that look worse then the gutter rash.

Let me know what you guys think.

Nath

I've done a few wheels and we just feather out the scratches and if theres scratches too deep we get some fine filler bog in there and fill then paint.

Is mortons at the eltoro estate? there is a bloke there (Steve from Excell Paint and Panel) that repairs the wheels and sends them off to a place, think he said it was mortons? Says he does a wheel for $50-$80 any colour. Might give it a go.

Even new cars have scratched wheels repaired with filler and resprayed, most factory mags these days are painted for just that reason we used to do it at work for Audi, Jag Merc etc...

You would think you would need an enamal to paint them just for the hardness?? With a few clear coats??

I bought these wheels like 2 years ago and was ummming and arrring on what colour to get, so i took the safe beat and got alloy, but now i like the dark shadow chrome look like the FG F6.....hmmmmmm might give it ago.
