Hey guys,
So this is my first forum post, I was hoping to find an answer rather than creating a topic but I guess that isn't the case. So I recently have had my sound system installed into my 2003 Ford Fairmont. Which includes: 2x Focal 165KR's 1x 15" Rockford Fosgate Power T2D215 1x Rockford Fosgate Power 600w T600-4 1x Rockford Fosgate Power 1500w T1500-1bd (plus PEQ Controller) 1x Rockford Fosgate 2 Farad Hybrid Digital Capacitor (RFC2D) Pioneer AVH-P6350BT and I used the Rockford Fosgate dual amp 0/1 AWG wiring kit (RFK1D) Everything is in and all working properly (thank god) but I'm having trouble with my power in my car. When I drive at night in particular my head lights have lost so much light and when the bass hits hard they almost dim to the point of being fog lights or something. I have had my battery replaced but I'm thinking I will need to have a dual battery set up and/or upgrading my alternator. My problem is I have no idea what alternator to upgrade to and what type of batteries I should look for? My car is a 2003 BA Ford Fairmont 5.4L V8. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks!! PS- Please don't hate on my car this is my very first sound system |
