Hi uniacidz thanks for helping yes I'am the rightful owner with all the paper work to go with it .
The local ford dealership has no blank keys to sell me so will look on ebay etc and see if i can get a blank key to take to the locksmith I just hope they know how to incode the key But way a minute the locksmith how can he cut the key without the ignition barrel :?

So its a big NO NO NO on the keys from the wrecking (If there is an error with the immobilisation system (I.E. wrong key used), the engine will only be allowed to start 3 times, before it is completely immobilised.) :o
If the vehicle is completely Immobilised, you will require a Ford NGS Tester to get things running again (NOT CHEAP). :o  thanks for info you have saved me on that one i'm use to the old cars if the key is a close fit it works most times i started my 81 XD with a 71 ZD key so thanks again for the great document info

I will phone ford to see what the cost of the codes will be if I can't find the keys will look online for a blank key to buy

THANKS for the info and help

As of September this year there is a new process that a dealer has to go through to get a key number. The Dealership has to sight the rego papers and send an email to Ford to get the key number so a key can be cut. The Ford dealer near you should be able to supply a key, part number ER F22053 A $120.90 or as you said, you could buy one from Ebay.

You will still have to train the key to your car.

Hi papa smurf thanks for the info & help
I bought the car with no rego so the dealership may not help me out. :(
The paper work I have is a Vcheck from qld transport the rego papers in the name of the guy I bought it off a letter with a photo copy of his drivers lic stating he sold me the car the amount and that its paid in full signed & dated.
I hope the dealership will take this as proof I own the car

Thanks again for helping

Hi me Again just got off the phone with ford & yep they will supply keys & remote programed to car If i bring the car to workshop for $752.50   OMG

To move the car as i have no key at this point in time & have to get it on a trailer how can i undo the steering as it is locked so i can turn the wheels to get it out & up on to a trailer.

Would removing the tie rod ends from the car be the way to go

Is there a cheaper way of doing this as $752.50 plus trailer $95 + $150 deposit
Those bloodly ********beep******** keys :x :x :x beep****beep ********

At this rate may take the car to the wrecker and just count my losts :( :(

Thanks for helping :) so far your help is the only thing to smile about

just undo the steering column from the rack and push it out of the way from where the guy wants to go. winch it onto a trailer if need be. In the interim, get an ebay key and learn about how to retain it.

Hi me again very good news for me the dude i bought the car off has refunded my money :D :D :D

It turn out his son was p****d off that his dad sold the car & so he smashed the remotes and ran the keys down the p/side of the car snapping one of the keys off & bending the other.
His dad found the bend key after we push the car out to get it on to the trailer thats when he said a lot of **********beep*********beep** beep** beep and more that i can't say on this Forum as we looked at the P/side of the car.

The dude turned to me and said sorry you can't have the car. I now know that one you left the keys here and two i know who did this see the three letters tagged on the door thats my **beep**son

So I would like to Thank you all for helping me with this .
