Hey guys,
I have an EF XR6, and it currently has 16x8 +6mm rims on it. My understanding is that all E-series have a factory offset of +6mm. Anyway, im looking at a set of 18x10 +18mm wheels, so the mounting surface would be 12mm furthur towards the outside of the rim. Even tho this offset is 12mm more so then the factory, does anyone know whether they will fit on an E-series? Or will I have to run 12mm spacers. If I have to run the spacers, has anyone managed to fit an 18x10 +6mm under the guards of an E-series. Rolling wont be problem, just more of a question on fowling on anything. heres a link to the difference between the wheels spec wise http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?wi ... mit=Submit Thanks, Ben |

Offset is measured from the centreline of the wheel.
If you had 2 16x8 rims, one +6 and one +12 offset. The +12 would sit 6mm futher IN. The + sign denotes that the mounting surface of the wheel has moved towards the face of the rim. On a 10" wide rim with a +18 offset, the face of the rim will sit (5" -18) from the mounting surface of the rotor. The rear of the wheel will be (5" +6) from the mounting surface. |

Yeah I know how offset works, Ive come from the whole 'stance' craze, used to own a Skyline. The question was more about breaking the 'rules'. I know that some people have ran wheels with higher offsets on some makes and models without trouble, so I was just seeing if anyone did it on these cars. If worst comes to worst ill just run a 12mm spacer to get it back to 6mm. In saying that, just wondering how a 10" wide +6 would fit under the guards, and whether ide run into any trouble. And to Krytox, why would 10" wide rim look like s**t lol? Out of all things, ude think a 10" wide rim would be nice |

Front will need a 10 -13 as a minimum, you would need a 25mm adaptor. Rears a 10 +12 just clears the inner.
