Hi guys, I'm not sure which way I should go with shocks for my EF. I have ultra low king springs and it will be roliing 18'' mags. I have been scoping out ebay and have notced the epic price difference between say Ultima/Monroe lowered shocks and the adjustable KYB/KONI's. I only use my car for cruizing, but still want it to handle nice. Would I notice any difference between the costly and cheaper shocks? The adjustable units would be overkill for a cruiser? If there is a significamt difference in ride between expensive vs cheap I will just bite the bullet & lash out. Does anyone have any experience/ advice. Thanks~

The Monroe's are known for their performance of being great shocks. KONI are good too, but I've always gone with Monroe's.

Get rid of the ultra lows for starters.......Cars don't handle with bugger all to none, suspension travel.

He said it's a cruiser. Ultra Lows aren't that bad if he's got 19"+ to lift the car up a little more.

That isn't the point...big wheels.....still means bugger all to none suspension travel.

When your car gets lowered, I'll take you for a drive in my Fairlane with Koni Reds, set in Daily mode of full hard! They are worth the extra money!

I've had Boge in a EL with low springs

I currently have a EF with Bilstein and low springs and previous setup was same springs but KYB shocks

The difference is defiantly noticeable and if you can afford it go Koni or Bilstein...

It seems the best low end shock for people using super and ultra low spring is Ultima shocks, but make sure you get the rear in Heavy Duty. You can find them on eBay...
