Hey all, so I've had my bf xt for a while now, the other week I decided to let loose a bit, turns out it has an LSD in it, left two nice pretty lines on the road, i was under the impression that the xt models didn't come out with LSD's.. Was this an optional item? The car was an ex BMW company car so I know it has not been modified.. What would the ratio be do u think?

Not LSD. It wasn't available on XT. Diff ration will depend on what box is in the car

Mine turns out to be LSD after cleaning mud underneath both sides of rear bar.
Perhaps all mk 2 came with LSD or was an option like ur xt?

Do you know how an open centre works? $10 says both cars are open centre's!

Open centres transfer power to the wheel with the least traction, if both have equal amounts of traction, both wheels will receive an equal driving force.

Well If it's not an LSD then I'm confused lol, did a snakey for about 50 metres, both tyres spinning.. It's not an occasional thing like what you guys are suggesting (if it's in the mood or if traction is equal on both wheels) it's both wheels 100% every time?
