I never bother to clean around it, just use a few rags and wipe away what you can and don't drop any crap in the tank.
I have always just gently used a small flathead to lever the tangs out that hold on the fuel lines. Then they just slide off. Good luck, hopefully it is the pump! Lucky you only need basic tools for that one. |
