Ok so I have a oil leak leaking heaps off oil from the front crank seal haven't got around to replacing it yet but every time i check my dipstick to put oil in its always at the same mark anyone know how to fix this its always at the full mark. its a EF falcon

it probably hasnt leaked enough oil to drop the mark on the dipstick yet.

do you wipe the dipstick and put it back in and check again? is the car parked on level ground every time you check it?
as gab said it wouldnt be leaking enough to drop the level of the oil

It has been leaking heaps the a big pool off oil under the car when its left over night and its been checked on level ground i wipe the dip stick and put it back in and check again done it a few time in a row still the same every time

its not dripping from your power steering onto the ground or from the transmission

Does the stuff on the dipstick actually look and smell like oil? or is it some other gubbins? lol

nar it not power steering fluid its black the oil not red and it looks and smell like oil

its got nothing to do with him, dip sticks are for people who check oil level, just like fuel gauges are for checking fuel level :lol:
