hey fellas just wondering if anyone on fordmods has a diagram of a distributor cap with numbers so i know which lead goes where. its annoying when u get a dizzy cap that is not numbered.

Just get the motor to tdc on no.1. See where the rotor button is pointing. That is no.1 then just go around in accordance with the firing order cast on the inlet manifold.

I think the pin closest to the engine is 6

Bosch caps already have the numbers cast next to the posts.
Failing that, there is a mark on the lip of the dizzy bowl that's right next to the no1 post - then follow cjh's firing order and you're done.
