mmmmmm. I have aftermarket speedy cheetahs on my auxr8, but changed back to std tickford rims for a track day. Didn't realise about the need to remove the speedy alloy shim spacer and put the tickford rims on. Wondered why it took a bit to tughten them, but didn't twig.
did the race day and all, and on way home just happen to check the wheel nuts (a revelation?) and were heaps loose, and tightened them up again, wondering why - but still didn't twig got home to change back to street rims and realised that I just squeeshed the shims, putting the tickford rims over the top of them and then it twigged!! trick for anyone else - take the bloody aftermarket shims off before replacing your factory ones!! could have been worse I guess |
