I have a 'bit' of a water leak in my firewall on both sides, so at christmas when i go to see my old man i might possibly be taking out my dash...

my questions are...
How hard is it?
and... while im at it what else can i do?

any suggestions would be appreciated, as at the moment i have very little idea what it really involves... thanks

I would be taking it to Obrien glass or similar and ask them what could be the cause. It sounds like you may have either a leaking screen or structual damage. It would be better to spend a couple of $$ to get a expert opinion than start down the path of removing the dash and not being able to fix it.

I already took it to a ford service centre for a leak check, they said that it isn't leaking it's gushing in. They want to pull the dash out to see what's really going on, but they suspected it was a split in a weld seam (apparently a common fault).
Yeah it's a rain/hose sorta leak, not aircon...

I'm still curious, is removing the dash a BIG job? Would you recommend it to a basic DIY kinda person? Or is it something best left to the professionals?
