Quote: serious question, what is a catback? cheers your got 3 main components of your exhaust system. headers - come off the engine. catalytic converter - also called cat for short, exists between headers and catback. catback - the piping and mufflers that exist after the cat, hence the name catback.

So in other words people are referring cat back to the rear muffler. As mine has 2, 2.5 tips. (pacemaker cat back)

Pipework, mufflers and whatever else can go in between the cat and tailpipe.
