Is this a 5 speed manual? if so, the switch is on the passenger side of the car about 6-8" from where the bell housing meets the case. A new one, part number XFP 15520 A, is $62.00.
If it is a 6speed, which is what it should be if it IS an F6, is 1R3Z 15520 AA $261.00 and is on the drivers side of the car about the same distance back as the 5 speed. You will have to get the vehicle up on stands or the like to check.

Yip it is deffinatly a 2005 F6 and I wish it was a 5 speed cos then it would be cheaper to fix! 260 for a switch...ouch, ok will have a look at it tonight and fingers crossed its just a loose connection or someting simple like that. Is this a common problem for these? Or any of the BA's?

Not to my knowledge, they are NOT a big seller. If it is the switch I may be able to help you with a much better price. Let me know.

Ok so its taken a while but I have got round to testing the switch. Conclusion:
There is 11.8V at the switch,
When in reverse there is continuity through the switch and when not in reverse no continuity. So switch is working fine, no reason that I can see that the lights shouldnt be going...yet theyre NOT!!

Very frustrating, has anybody else got any suggestions on what else I can check or have a workshop manual that I could please get a copy of so I can go through wiring schematics myself.

Cheers

Hey Papa Smurf,

Reference the conversation above, have finally got round to doing some testing and it turns out it IS my goddam reverse switch.

What would be the chances of getting one through you still?
If still possible could I get a price please.

Thanks heaps for your help mate
