If I use remote locking to lock the doors of my EL, the horn sounds as it would if one of the doors were ajar. Even if they are not.
This doesn't happen if I lock with the key.
I tried re-programming the remote. Same thing..
Anyone know what causes this?

one of your door lock actuators is malfunctioning, lock yourself in the car, (not the boot) using the remote, move around the various seats in the car put your hand on the door where the actuator is and lock and unlock the car, you will soon enough find out what one is playing up. I think it may actually be the drivers door, as when you key lock it, that manually activates the actuator.

Report back.

Probably the front doors being the masters.
When you're in the car testing, cycle the central locking switch on the dash, and tell us what it does.

I'm not exactly sure what I'm feeling for on these doors but I can feel movement in each of them and none of them seem to behave different from the others. At least as far as I can tell.
All the locking mechanisms work even when the horn sounds. The doors lock successfully.
If I use the central locking switch on the dash the car locks without issue. No horn.
It seems to be only if I use the remote...

Does one of the actuators seem to be slower than the others? If so then that will be the problem one....Usually the drivers door actuator.

The system also monitors the door courtesy light switches - if it sees a door is 'open', the horn will blip.
