Hey, my old XF Falcon with a 250 Crossflow is running REALLY rich, and backfiring a bit, and it gets worse as the engine warms up, it's belching black smoke too. It's overfuling, that's for sure, but what sort of thing can cause a carby to overfuel? Could the float be out of adjustment? it goes LOTS harder than I think it should be capable of too (I'm not complaining about that mind you) just the smoke, the fuel economy, and the backfiring)

When you sleep at night a south-east asian mountain squrril in opening your bonnet removing the air cleaner assembly and pissing in your carbs causing it to over-fuel.
