i like the look of tinted tail lights. the finish must look glossy but as the matt finish gives it a bad look.

Thats why you shouldn't overdo it and only do a few light coats like I have done with mine. I will post pics up soon

I never thought of tinting my rear lights till I saw the pics and thought it would suit my car.

But why only use and refer to using the spray? What would be so hard or wrong with buying some proper window tint from the shops and just tint one side of the lens. Professionals might use the heat wrap tint but for the home tint you just need some metho and water or non alkaline window cleaner. My dad and myself have always done our cars ourselves and they have never faded or bubbled, even after 12 years!

that is exactly what i was gonna say, i just sat here reading the whole topic and now im still wondering, wouldnt it be easy to cut out the right shapes/amounts of normal window tint and place it ove the tail lights.
Im planning on doing my rear lights on a Evergalde green EB Fairmont II pretty soon and i think i might give this method a try...if someone beats me to it let us know

I thought about doing it on my car a while back, but I was told it wasn't recommended to tint the inside of your tail lights due to the heat etc. Wondering how true/full of s**t the guy was now though.

Why? Thinking of using your car to rob a bank but don't want it to be recognised?
