Would be easier to use a EA - ED multi point engine, if you fit it using XH ute bits, it should be straight forward. Go check out the engine bay on a XH ute, that will give you an idea of what needs to be done.

Main items are: Sway bar (need). Lower engine mounts (need). Power steering box (unless you want to get a pipe made from metric to imperial). Log style manifold. XG Fuel tank and lines, only if its going in a ute otherwise EFI from a 4.1 sedan. You will Hit the sway bar with the sump, so you'll need to have that cut and shut, or use an EB-EL engine pan.

I did the conversion a little over a year ago, everything clears using the serpentine setup.
you'll need to gut an XG for all the tiny bits like hoses and retaining brackets etc for the recovery tank. It is far easier to grab the entire enginebay and dash loom also. The Sump Just clears a EB-EL style sump using the correct sway bar. the AU sump will hit. Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: File comment: This is how much I had to cut off the sump for it to fit even a basic EF. the XG will be closer. To use an AU engine (coil pack & BB manifold), won't the XH loom & ecu be required? Or would you suggest convert it to a dizzy setup, use a mpfi log manifold like a xg & use XG loom & ecu? XG mounts would be the ones to use....
Cheers ToranaGuy

Wouldn't even bother using coil packs to be honest.
The first challenge is getting the motor seated in the first place. The best bet is using the XG loom, with Dissy and use an EL ECU to obtain the thermo fan outputs and the BBM trigger.

Personally I am indifferent to them. Cheers ToranaGuy
