Fit dynamat , stinger road kill etc sound deadening to inside the boot lid etc.

Tou will dinf the original bonding has persihed. it goes hard and brakes out and rattles and vibrates.
You will need to remove the bootlid, use sikaflex and reglue the bracing to the skin. Allow it to fully go off. then as EVL098 said, use dynamat of a similar product on the boot. this will remove 99% of your VS Commodore bootlid spec issue. also while you have the bootlid off, remove as much of the hard broken bonding agent as possible. I have had the displeasure of this stuff finding its way into the boot latch and jamming the mechanism not allowing to the boot to open.

i jammed towels in between the boot and the interior piece that is on the boot lid, it shut some of the loud rattles up and was much better but definatly pull the yellow glue s**t out from the bracing and redo it

just don't go over board like i did on my last EF...
you don't have to use the whole tube of silicon for it to work.... puts to much stress on the gas struts. though did fix the rattle. all was left was the number plate. and some bubble wrap behind it worked quite well |
