Hi folks, just a quick question: how hard is it to put a repair kit thru a Vialle converter? I regard myself as a pretty competent mechanic. (can build engines etc, but auto gearboxes mystify me!!)

If I do decide to put a kit in, are there any traps to be aware of.

Also, is there a converter that can replace a Vialle? (thinking of cost)

Cheers.

First Comment is unless you are a gas fitter you should not play with the high pressure side of any LPG Vehicle. In general Vialle converter do not over haul well if you get a kit. Ford do not have kits. You can get them on eBay but if you do get it fitted. And depending on what model Falc you have it may not be legal to go with a different converter. Regards T.P.V.M.

some viallis have the stepper kind of built in if it hasn't a polli-auto will replace it
if it is a integrated type it has to be replaced with the vialli
I may be able to get a rebuilt Vialli for you :)

This one has the stepper on top. I will look into the Polli-Auto.

How would that go with the rest of the Tickford system? Would it require any special tuning or Tickford ECU alterations?

About what price for a rebuilt Vialli?

the polliauto wont do the trick, its a lookalike to the viallie
if your stepper is on the top it is using the viallie processor as well and not changeable
car dealers were using the polli and a emmegas processor and telling people they had the Ford Unit
(looked similar) but cheap and pocketing the diff :)
you have the real one
the Viallie has got a rebuilt kit available, but there is a trick to doing them. I normally buy them rebuilt from the supplier. Last time I spoke to him he was considering stopping them. More money in new ones I guess
I will give them a ring tomorrow
