G'day thrillseekers: had an incident today, went to get the mail, and while I was at the post box, noticed steam coming from under the bonnet. Lifted the bonnet and saw, on the zorst manifold side, coolant running everywhere, but mainly the over join where the CAT joins the manifold (std manifold). i.e.: opposite #5 pot. Well, I thought that this was not quite right, so went home (maybe 1km )stopped engine etc., and tried to find where the leak was. (that green stuff stinks when it gets hot!)

I figured it was either the pipe from the water pump that had split, or the head gasket had blown on the outside. Well, to make a short story long, I refilled the rad. and ran the engine trying to pinpoint the leak. Do you reckon the bluddy thing would leak?? Not on your Nellie!! Even took it for a short yet spirited drive......nothing :?

My theory is that if it was the pipe, it would still leak, but why doesn't it if it's the head gasket.... :? :?

Now I'm gonna hafta go and spend money on a pressure tester.......bugger !!

Weelll.... for all you out there that have been wondering....it was a heater hose that had split. When I moved the hose, it closed the small hole, so it didn't leak!

An easy fix...bonus!! :D :D
