Okay, So I have a BA GT Bodykit here at home. All good, I've dummy fitted it etc. My problem, is how do I make it not f**k move >.< I don't want it being held on by the measly clips that held on the factory kit, but I don't want to be drilling holes everywhere. The new bodykit has little outlines for where you need to cut out so you can use the existing clips on the body, but I don't have the tools to make the cuts. The front is quite easy, it holds with practically 2 bolts; It's the rear that's got my head spinning.
The sides won't hold in place, but the back will. I've tried araldite to hold it in place overnight so I can formulate a sane way of going at this (I really don't want to f**k it and have to get a new bumper rofl) If I have to use the factory clip placements, I will, but only as a last result. I feel that they are too flimsy, and the last thing I want is the bodykit coming off at speed.

you dont want it held on by the 'measly' clips that held on the factory kit. you dont want your body kit coming off at speed. cant say ive seen ba/bf body kits falling off willy nilly all over the place? hell i owned one for 3 years and drove it at some nifty speeds, all without any body kit falling off.

Just use factory clips
They wouldnt be there If they were Gunna cause the bumper to fall off at speeds...

Okay fair enough. Time to go buy something to cut the rectangle holes out with for the clips to slip into. Also for the rear, the factory bumper has like a black brace thing, that has 4 bolts that go into the boot ( 2 bolts just next to each tail light ). I can see why I would need to use it, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get it off. Or can I get away with not using it??

from memory it will be pop riveted to your bumper. simply drill out the rivets, and then re rivet it onto new bumper

New bumper is slightly different shape, it's kinda awkward getting it to fit. No biggy, I'll make the f**k fit

My panel beater also used some screws to hold it in place under each taillight. ``these are the exact problems i thought might happen which is why i just paid for a panel beater to do it for me
 The front bumper i know you said it fine but will sag over time, my guy made a L braket and welded it to the front bar and then put a big f**k off screw through the hole behind the number into the L braket, holds the bar up nice and tight under the headlights etc plus you cant see it all as its behind the number plate. Wish i took a pic of it while the bar was off cheers phil

yeah, the rear is an absolute prick. Still haven't got it on, still cutting out the rectangles for the clips to slot into. Have to do the same on the front. The second it sags, I'll take it off and try what you did with the L Bracket. Also, how did you panel beater go with getting the rear brackets to fit flush? The edge of the fiber glass kit is too rounded, so it pushes the bracket forward slightly, so it won't sit flush etc. PAIN IN THE A*S

yeah the rear took him ages, especially coz it was a s**t phat custom kit so nothing fit properly at all. He did use all the existing re-enforcement as well. Dunno how he did it but he spent quite a while i know that!
