hey all, im having some issues with my fairlane. its running full EF loom, dash and ECU.

my problems are as follows
1 i can prime the system and it all works as per factory, pump primes, relay ticks but as soon as i go to crank the system there is no power to the fuel pump...

2 i no longer have any fuel level readings, there is more then 30l of fuel i recently put in but the gauge just sits on empty (no fuel light on)

im a little confused as it works to prime but then nothing.

could it be the BCM or something else?

Where is your Fuel Pump Earth? - normally it goes to one of the rear lights?

its in a new location on the metal upright in the corner of the boot near the wheel arch. all wire brushed back to bare metal.

main earth on the car (battery in boot) is 0g

If your 100% sure of the earth then the most likely aren't related

For fuel sender- make sure the body earth goes to the fuel pump assembly earth. If it does then the signal wire most likely has a fault

For not starting... Not a smartlock problem is it?

to start the car i currently have a piece of old loom from the pump straight to the battery when i need to start it. i thought it was just a damaged wire but as it primes it tells me the wires are fine.

i dont think its a smartlock issue as i have also had the smartlock bypass hooked up and still no good

Its not the actual relay is it?

That it primes, then doesnt work has me think the ECU is keeping it off. No idea why

i have changed the relay with 3 different units.. tho it might be the ECU.. remembering back when it wouldnt start more then 12 months ago (took a while to build lol) one ECU gave fuel pump the other didnt but the one that didnt give fuel pump worked for everything else. i have a J3 chip here to go in i might throw a stock tune on it, put it in and see what happens...

glad you bought that up
