Hey guys.
I just upgraded from my 97 EL to a 04 BA MkII XR6 Series III.
Considering I'm only 17 I was pretty happy with my efforts.
But I also know nothing about the model.
I used to have standard pioneer stereo in the EL and want to step up the one in the BA now, but I was told by a friend that you can only put the head units from the GTs in there and nothing else will fit.
Whether he is out right useless and knows nothing or is dead on I wouldn't have a clue.
So a little help on such a simple question would be helpful.
Thanks heaps and sorry about the naivety. :)

There is a few threads around that are about fitting aftermarket/double DIN stereo's to the BA/BF/FGs.
Give the search option a good beating and see what you find mate.
Sometimes I even just google my problem and 80% of the time, I get a Fordmods thread anyhow.
Hope this helps,

Cheers,
Russ.

you just buy one of these, which replaces the tissue holder under the icc

get your constant and speaker wires from the kick panels or wherever u want, constant must be FUSED, grab ur negative and positive switched/ acc from the power source and bobs your uncle

Not that simple. That is a single DIN surround. That Pioneer unit mention in the subject line is a double DIN unit. Will not fit in that surround.
